How many people can stay in the condo?

Up to 4 persons. The Bedroom sleeps two, and the sofa/sleeper can sleep two more.

How far is it to town?

The Kona Reef is right on the edge of Kailua-Kona and is just a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops. The majority of other condos are too far from town to be within reasonable walking distance. The Kona Reef is very convenient!

Is the condo fully equipped for cooking?

Yes. There are several sizes of skillets, several sizes of pots, cooking utensils, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, plastic glasses for pool area, coffee maker, tea pot, coffee grinder, blender, toaster, rice cooker, microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer with ice maker. There is even a cooler if you want to pack a picnic lunch.

Where can I do Laundry?

Right in the Condo. You can put clothes in the washer or dryer and go have fun. You do not have to stand around some common area laundry and waste your time washing your clothes. Our washer and dryer are right in the unit with no costs.

What about TV and DVD or Video player?

There is a large TV with DVD player and VHS player in the living and dining area, and also a TV in the bedroom. The cable gives you 60 or more channels with news, sports, movies, and local stations, as well as tourist information.

How far is it to the Volcano?

The volcano is about 95 miles, or a 2 1/2 hour drive. You can check its status at the Volcano Website or to get information.

Can I make and receive phone calls in the unit?

Yes, there is phone service and the phone number in the unit is provided to you. All calls on the Big Island are local. Calls to other islands, and the US Mainland are FREE. Other countries are long distance and a calling card or credit card must be used.

How do I access, and is there a charge for the DSL Line?

High speed DSL via Wi-Fi is no charge. The transmitter is encrypted WEP and you enter the key manually. It is marked on the transmitter, and also provided with your check-in package. It works in the unit, and on the Lanai.

Are there any rate specials?

Yes. We have weekly rates of $799 April 15th through September 30th, and a Summer Special in Unit B-2 at $109 per night from June 15th to Sept 30th. From October 20th to April 14th the rates are just $875/week.
